Hello, my name is Paula Romanoski!

I am a Marquette Method instructor based just outside of Nashville, in Murfreesboro, TN. I received my bachelor’s degree in nursing from Belmont University in 2019 and have worked in emergency medicine. My husband, Chris and I have been married since 2019 and have two boys, Jeffrey and Dominic.

My Natural Family Planning Journey

Growing up, both of my parents were passionate about NFP. Dinner table conversations often revolved around Saint John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. My dad was a physician and a deacon—basically a fount of knowledge when it came to the science and theology of NFP. My parents hosted NFP support groups at our home. I learned more about NFP than most Catholic teenagers do. (I also got a lot of great babysitting gigs from the families who attended the NFP support group.)

As I entered college, I watched many of my friends and family who used NFP struggle during the postpartum period. I thought that there had to be a better way—I was determined to find the best method of NFP available.

I learned and used other NFP methods before I found the Marquette Method, but as soon as I tried Marquette I knew it was the best one for me. It was just so objective and simple.

Why I Teach the Marquette Method

Marquette was a gem. It had to be shared.

At the time, the closest instructor to me lived in Atlanta. Friends in the Nashville Catholic community were frustrated because no one local taught Marquette.

As my husband and I started our family, and I knew I wanted to take a step back from emergency medicine. Teaching Marquette is a great fit for me and for my family and serves my community in a way that’s truly needed.

Marquette has helped my husband and I navigate regular cycles and the postpartum phase effectively. Marquette has blessed our marriage. I hope it can bless your marriage, too!
